DYSU #104 - Turquoise

Welcome friends to the very last challenge here at DYSU. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to be involved with this wonderful group of talented designers from all over the globe, and I for one will miss the team spirit and special camaraderie that we shared here as a design team.

We have been thrilled by the response every week from you, our challenge participants, and the wonderful inspiring work that you shared here with us all. We will miss you!

A special Thank-you goes to our wonderful Sponsors - every week we have had the chance to work with some of the best Digital and Stamp companies in the business, and our challenge would not have been the success it was without their support and kind generosity in Prize gifts and Design Team products. Thank you all! You can find links to all our sponsors in the side bar on the right.

This week, we have not one, not two, not even three sponsors, but FOUR very generous companies supporting us this week! Take a look at their websites for some wonderful inspiration!

* $15 gift certificate to spend on Cutting Files or Digis

* $10 Gift Certificate

* Winner's Choice of 3 Digis

* Winner's Choice of 3 Digis

Joining us this week, we have two special Guest Designers. These ladies are regular players here at DYSU, we are thrilled to have them join us for the last time.

Please welcome Jessi Fogan and Deborah Frings.

Here's a bit about Jessi:

'I'm a Vancouver transplant masquerading as a Maritimer these days, living in Amherst, Nova Scotia, a town of about 10 000 people on the New Brunswick border. I am lucky enough to be a stay-at-home mother to two boys, Connor & Riley, on their way into the teen years. They both have autism, so I am a fierce advocate, translator, therapist, and teacher. Crafts have been a part of my life for nearly as long as I can remember - cross-stitch, crochet, collage, cards. Between a husband, two kids, three cats, and a dog, space is at a premium in our house, so I have a corner carved out of our computer room that is lovingly referred to as my "crap corner." I love being able to incorporate different techniques and styles into my paper art - and I love sharing it with others through my blog and at the weekly farmer's market in Sackville, NB. Although I've been making cards for about 20 years, it was 9 years ago that they became my primary artistic expression, and I don't plan on that changing any time soon!'

Here's a bit about Deborah:
 'Hi, I’m Deborah – and I’m thrilled to bits to be a Guest Designer here at DYSU!  We have a great colour challenge – Turquoise, and I’m designed with some wonderful teacups from Rhoda Design Studio.  I’ve been crafting in one form or another since I was a little girl.  I started making mini books, moved onto embroidery and cross-stitch, photography with my own version of scrapbooks and then I found card making.  I started off in a small way but, like many, my stash has exploded into its own room!!  I don’t think I have a specific style – although I tend to clean and simple with a few frills!  I still like to challenge myself; I recently taught myself to knit.  I’m sorry that this is the last DYSU challenge, but wish Alison continued success with her company The Alley Way Stamps.  I’d also like to thank Ren-Yi, Pauline and all the DT for their time and enthusiasm at DYSU!  It’s been fun.'

You can find more of Deborah's designs at Deborah's Gems.
